SINGLETRACK LIFE

This is the full poster. Over 70 inches long and packed with goodies.

If I'm not designing, I'm riding my bike, I'm talking about riding my bike, watching bike videos, or reading bike reviews. Mountain biking, and bikes in general, are my life. It's only natural that after recording every waking moment for two weeks of my life that I would use a biking metaphor.

I attributed obstacles typically found on mountain bike trails to things that happened to me during each day. The entire poster is hand drawn because that is how I collected the majority of my information. I was constantly sketching, writing, and pasting photos into my sketchbook.

Everything that is on the poster has some sort of significance to what happened on a particular day. For example, rocks on the trail mean I had to avoid something that day, mud means something slowed me down, jumps mean I had a lot of fun, and climbs mean I was working hard. Every tree means something different, every animal stands for something, and finally you have myself, finishing out the week on my bike.
